Cornus Alba

I recently cut cut down the Cornus alba that I have in my garden as I read that cutting it back at this time of year will encourage new growth and better winter colour. Ive put the cuttings indoors in a vase and they have started to shoot? Is this normal? Have I accidentally taken cuttings to grow new plants???

You haveimage.   With luck the roots will start to show and you can pot them up to have a forest of cornus if you want themimage.  When you cut them down you can just push the stems into the ground and most will take.

  • Well I never!!! Plants are so cool!!! Lol. Should I leave them on the windowsill until they develop roots or put them out now??

Not too sure they would take well to being shoved in the soil if they are used to room temperatures but a pot of compost in a sheltered place may do - what have you got to loseimage
