A friend me some snowdrops which I planted in a 5 inch pot, last year there were 20 flowers, they were left to die down naturally and given some feed. This year there are only 15 flowers- is this due to overcrowding ???
Thanks for that, they don't look overly crowded - no bulbs above the soil. I only have a small terrace, so I shall have to split them into two bigger pots.

Do they look very tightly packed?
When my clumps get squashed they don't flower so well, when they get very squashed they don't flower and start pushing some bulbs above the soil.
They're best in the ground I think. I'd split them into 3s to 5s and plant them out this spring. Then seen how they are next year

Good idea
