I agree with what you say. If you wash them after 2 hours wear they then stay shiny for a few months. And I can get them in a local hardware store.

    Argyll wellies are the rolls royce of wellies for the garden. They are basic and not fancy.

    I had the pleasure of having bought for me a pair of Muckboots (About £55 pair) I have a problem getting wellies which fit my calves, these go off and on without the struggle of putting off and on.
    Best thing bought as i have no second thoughts or problem going out in the garden in wet cold days.

    What shiney wellies? Mine I am afraid were even specially cleaned up a bit for their portrait photo! Now though how about boots? I'm a wearer of walking boots for gardening and find them most comfortable when wellies are not necessary (or simply too hot!).

    I love my wellies and I'm now in the market for a new pair but I suffer from fallen arches. Can you recommend any that would offer in built support?

    I need some new wellies, but it seems to be really hard now to find the ordinary black ones that aren't too expensive. I can find plenty of expensive green wellies, or cheaper ones in pink or with weird patterns, but no ordinary black ones.
