Hi all :0) My mother is concerned about her Rowan! It usual has plenty of berries but this year there are none! She cannot remember it 'not' flowering! It has however got wispy looking weeds going mouldy and furry at the bottom of it these could be from bird feeder seeds but mum said they've been there years and it has never happened before

Last winter mine was loaded with berries, this winter none, nothing to worry about it's just having a rest I think.

Perhaps the flower buds met a late frost in the spring.

Perhaps pigeons ate the unripe berries.

Apophthegm -  a big word for a small thought.
If you live in Derbyshire, as I do.

Could be birds pansyface. Mine often disappear long before I think they're ripe
