Greenhouse

Just finished assembling new alluminium greenhouse (8x6) It was quite difficult,It feels rigid but looks flimsy,Hope it withstands winter winds

    My first greenhouse,Usually manage with those plastic covered shelves you buy from wilkos,Got the bug so thought i would try the real thing.

    Is there any ventilation ? Can't see any roof lights or vents

    Yes mark499 theres a roof window on other side.

    As Alan Titchmarsh once said, "Two things in the garden can never be too big, one is your greenhouse, and the other is your composts bins". You'll not regret the investment Will. Enjoy filling it.

  • Looks like your GH is in a sheltered spot near 2 fences, so it should be fine in winds.

    I would place a non porous membrane on the floor then add slabs to the bottom of the GH. This will help reduce moisture in the GH and dreaded botrytis which can kill more than frosts can. I would also recommend an autovent for the window.
