Magnolia Stellata

Just been clearing up leaves and realised my stellata is flowering again.  Anyone else have this problem, not that it's a bad problem as it's lovely.  I wonder though if it will affect the plant next year

Time will tell, make the most of it now. Plants react to all sorts of things, temperature, rainfall, daylength. As has been said on this forum many times - it's been a funny old year. My guess is that it will flower normally next year unless we have a very abnormal winter/spring.

  • A few years ago we had a peculiar summer and my apple tree had nearly full grown fruit AND blossom, wish I had taken a photo

  • There was a similar question on GQT on the radio a couple of weeks ago. The panel said don't worry, just enjoy the extra flowering.
