Ground Cover Question
Could anyone please advise if crushed slate would be suitable ground cover for a sloping bank at the front and side of my daughter's house. At the moment, the bank is just soil with quite a few weeds in it. Have tried growing a few plants in it but none of them are really working.

You really need something more angular. Slate will slide over each other and end up at the bottom of the slope.
I have crushed slate and it does tend to slide about a bit. On the last Beechcroft they dealt with a sloping bank by embedding stones in the slope at an angle and then planted it up it looked really good.
Chipped bark would be better than slate. Because it is quite rough it will stick and not roll down the slope. How much of a slope is it? If it is too steep then nothing will stay in place apart from plants.
Sorry, meant Beechgrove not Beechcroft.
Yep if it's too steep, no type of crushed stone or gravel will stay in place. Your options are to terrace it or explore different planting options. Or probably both!
