dahlia's what now for my cuttings.

I bought on some dahlia cuttings and they are doing well and have some buds and flowers on them. What do i do when they die back, i want to keep them for next year .When do those corms form ? Rob.

If they have developed tuberous root they should overwinter ok. When the first frost kills off the foliage, separate out the tuber from the soil and wrap in newspaper, store in a frost free but cool environment and wait. Next spring when they start to shoot, pot up and plant out after danger of frost has passed. bingo...
