Strange Baubles on Potato Plant

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what is wrong with my potato plant, as several strange green baubles about grape sized maybe slightly bigger, have appeared hanging down from some of the stems. I am totally unsure as to what they may be and i have looked in lots of gardening books and on the Internet but so far i have had no indication as to what they caused by. I was concerned as to whether i could even harvest the potatoes? I hope someone can help me image

    It's nothing to be worried about, it's the fruit of the potato plant. They look like small green tomatoes because they're in the same family.

    Do not eat them though as they are poisonous, the potatoes underground should be fine to treat as normal.

    Leggi's absolutely right - they are the fruits of the tomato plant. Harvest your potatoes as normal, there's nothing wrong with them.

    It won't do any harm if you cut them off,the plant is better off producing potatoes instead of seed.

    I have just harvested my potatoes with green fruits and the potatoes are fab. Get a much better crop in potatoes bags.
