I will be very happy with a new thread, I have been following and it has been very iseful but as you say David very long now.
BTW (sorry) my sweet peas from this year, although dying early with the drought have managed to self seed. Now what do I need to do with the new shoots, they are in situe in open ground, will they survive any frost? Will mulch be enough or shoud I move into pots and a cold frame? Thanks for any advice.

Thanks David, I don't mind if they aren't the same, I think they are all lovely and I am going to try some special ones for closer to the house anyway.

I would be happy to have a new one start at the next sowing time.
despite growing the beautiful flowers for decades I have found this thread so useful but as it gets longer so does get confusing
Let me finish this year with my last cutting, two days ago
This one is for you David Thanks for all your help!

Okay folks, I'll start a new thread in the next couple of weeks and ask Daniel to close this one.
Liam, I understand your enthusiasm and rest assured, you won't be let down.
LP, I'm flattered kind words and to see those lovely sweep peas.
I would say that they have a really good length of stem for this time of year.
DD, Those self-sown SPs will be fine and will survive the winter. Having said that, they may not look exactly the same as their parents.
My sweet pea grow tubes arrived today as well David from eagle.

Just a thought,,,,where would you like your new sweet pea thread located i.e. here in the Potting Shed, Talkback, or Plants?
Potting shed probably best, but I will go with the flow
