Unknown shrub

It's a bit scrawny and obviously unhappy at being buried by nettles and bracken for months - but is it a weed or a plant - I thought perhaps an hydrangea?

    Could it be a walnut tree?

    Apophthegm -  a big word for a small thought.
    If you live in Derbyshire, as I do.
  • Well funnily enough we have 9 of those in the garden already, but all enormous so didn't cross my mind. May well be. Sadly will have to go, not room for another if it is. Thanks.
