Garden mowing strip - Please advise

Hi,

I have tried to put a garden mowing strip myself, using bricks and ready mixed concrete. The results are as per attached.

It is not looking very impressive and I need advice as to whether I should try and salvage the project (sand the concrete maybe to clean it) or give up and get it done professionally.

    You need to lay the bricks closer together it might be worth laying them on end and point the bricks up also use sharp sand and cerment

    richhondac, on the spacing between the bricks, I have to stick with the same pattern as I have already done on the first patch. Otherwise, wouldn't it look weird?

    That will soon soften in appearance Kashif, new cement always looks glaring but it won't last
