  • After confess, I've tried to watch X Factor a few times, but oh dear, can't stand the hype, sob stories and how it's all so falsely manipulated.

That's not to suggest 'Strictly' is perfect.

  • Love Claudia but would like Tess to leave too, she's changed since she was first on there. Rather fancies herself.

Agree its a shame Darcy has cut her hair, but still lovely.

Ben Cohen mmmmm and  Mark.....can't remember his name,......cricketerimage

Im with you David cant stand x factor or any of the other reality shows.  Strictly is my only guilty pleasure (well as far as tv is concerned).

I never watch it live because of all the messing about I just watch the dancing and the voting and fast forward all the rest.  I havent seen it yet so will probably catch up later.  Don't even know the pairings. Didn't even know that Brucie had gone, have to say I'm pleased.  He's exceptional for his age but he really used to make me cringe.

Well you've certainly whetted my appetite.

Hi from Kingswinford in the West Midlands
  • With you David on X Factor painful to watch the sob stories which when you read the papers are mainly fabricated, I do not think peoples agony entertaining, must feel good to be a judge though, £900,000 to break some wanabe's heart. Choice is in our own hands, my mate bought a new BSA Gold Star and drooled over it, I bought a BSA bog standard spring heel and drove up and down from Aldershot to Teesside and back every weekend for the six month winter period I was on a course at the time. The Gold star if it was lucky went the ten miles to Redcar and back now and then. I loved Dancing from an early age still do though strictly is better once the winnowing is over and we get down to the seeds.

Tomorrow it will be "Our Girl" cannot stand Downton, vive le difference.

    Frank.

  • Well that’s week one over with.

Pwoar!!….Frankie Bridge and Kevin what a combo and she can dance too. image

I really enjoyed Alison Hammond’s dance who put in a performance that didn’t disgrace  the size 16 + s. image

The sooner barrow boy Gregg Wallace goes the better, for me…..sadly my favourite professional Aliona Vilani will be out too. image

Never liked a poser, so not keen on Thom Evans…..who would spell Tom wiv a ‘h’? image

  • Not seen it yet, have sky+ it.

Can't stand the green grocer either, so in love with himself......goodness knows why....

Looking forward to seeing Alison and Mark Wright too image

  • I'm sure you'll enjoy it, Lily. image

Btw, not impressed with Jennifer Gibney (Mrs Brown's Boys) either......nothing to do with her dancing. In the pre-dance clip she said 'just don’t let me fart', after the dance she said to Tess  'I managed to do that without farting'.

Not very ladylike, but not surprising I suppose. image

  • Lovely!!

But then , I don't like Mrs Brown's boys imageimage

Frankie was great and so graceful. Alison had a great sense of rhythm, but more like size 20+, pretty fit and full of energy though. Size 16 is now the average size of the UK woman.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
