I think these must be spring bulbs started early. Any ideas?
I often find Muscari (grape hyacinths) put up leaves in the autumn, a long time before they're going to flower.
But I think the early summer and recent cool spell may have deceived some plants - my wild primroses are flowering!
Ah yes. The beds were full of purple bobbly flowers last spring so I think your Muscari theory is spot on! Thanks dove
Dove - my primroses have never stopped flowering!
Last year lots of daffs and crocus were poking through early. They settled down as the weather got colder though Lulu.
I've got Ipheion (spelling?) pushing through in a pot.
2 sorts of muscari as well
