Spreading mystery plant

These pics show a plant growing up through my zebra grass. The second pic is a spent flower stem. Any ideas what it is? Pic 3 looks like the same plant but in a different border, bigger leaves though. It spreads low across the ground but works its way up through other plants.

Looks like it could be one of the meadow rues - lesser meadow rue perhaps?

This is exactly same as some mystery plants of the  seeds I set from cottage gdn society.if I can find out I shall let you know .I don't think it's a weed.

  • It's some wild form of Thalictrum, (Meadow rue). The flowers are not particularly remarkable, and it can be a bit spready, though the foliage is quite pretty.

The leaves are definitely Thalictrum, but I don't know which species.

Southern trees bear a strange fruit
Blood on the leaves and blood at the root
  • Thanks guys. Done some searching on Thalictrum and that's spot on.

    Many thanks
