Any ideas what this is?

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone out there knows what this is?

It is presently growing in a relative's garden (both front and back) in the cracks between the paving stones.

It has taken over and is just creeping slowly along taking over all available space.

It has been sprayed with general garden weedkiller but to no avail.

  • Liverwort?

  • Rhod, me thinks you have it in one! image

Thanks very much. Now all I have to do is work out the best way of removing it. Seemingly Sulphate of Iron is quite effective. Other strong weedkillers may work too but you may need to add washing up liquid to it so as to get the weedkiller to stick to the shiny surfaces. We'll see how it goes. Thanks again. image

Careful, Iron Sulphate can stain paths. Good for moss in lawns.

    Dordogne and Norfolk
  • And stain your carpets.
