had a buddleia plant in a pot and found this plant seeded beside it--getting alarmed as someone told me it might be cannabis?

    It's not cannabis, more likely a helebore as victoria has suggested.

    Yes it does look like a hellebore, looks very similar to some which I have  which have loads of flowers ,usually a green shade of white , if that doesn't sound double Dutch.Will be interesting to see the flowers, hope you will share some pics with us.

    Could be Helleborus foetidus, the stinking hellebore. Quite interesting leaves, followed by greenish yellow flowers.

    PandP now I have checked this up it is the same one which I meant .I find it has loads of seed and self seeds all over , beautifully !image
