Do slug eat thru' carrier bags

Just been around the garden and picked up +40 slugs and snails. Didn't have a container to put them in (or allowed to put them ), but was allowed a supermarket carrier bag. Have put them all up in several bags, but just wondering if they will eat their way thru' the bags to get out, if so, need another solution. Was planning to put them in general waste bin tomorrow. I was going to put them in those chinese take-away containers put somebody had a tidy up a few weekends ago and threw them all out.

No they wont eat through the bags but there are small holes in the bottom of the bags they might get through. Just kill them
Oh Tim that sounds disgusting
But I'm sure if you have knotted the bag they won't get out nor will they be able to eat through the plastic, their teeth are not that big!
put a salt on them or vinegar on them that will kill them (and don't eat them ) put in bin.
You're going to kill them so just do it, A big boot or a sharp spade.
In the sticks near Peterborough
Eugh.
I have to admit I'm a coward too and do the same I put them straight in the bin in carrier bags, have never found any wondering around.
Thanks guys. Not allowed to cut them in half with scissors, or put in bucket of salty water as garden is so small, haven't got anywhere to put the resulting sludge. I collected another 5 after my first jaunt around the garden. I did look at the rolling pin in the kitchen draw later on but was told, 'don't even think about it'.
