broken pots

Maybe other people have known about this for years, but I have just discovered that a clean, well-scrubbed and dried piece of old flowerpot, put into a storage jar keeps brown sugar soft and free-flowing. It has to be the red clay type, not the plastic onesimage

    Is that the same theory as salt kept in open wooden containers pansy? It absorbs the moisture.

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
