hebe and dwarf conifer stump

Hi everyone if i cut a hehe bush and very small dwarf conifer down to the stump will it grow back if i patio over it? Or do i have to try get the roots out? Issue is the roots are very firmly stuck down! thanks

    The hebe will grow back, the conifer will just die.

    Though I've found hebes a bit iffy as well, they do grow back but keel over after a year or so

    hmmm so my patio will be ruined ! I better dig out the roots properly !

     a hebe won't regrow through concrete or paving slabs. But you might have trouble levelling for a patio with stumps in the way

    oh right well I have levelled it ok  so I wont worry about re-digging it up !
