The garden centre group have reduced all seeds to 50p.
They should all be good for next year except parsnips and onions, which need to be fresh, Peas and beans keep for years. As many of these are normally £2 to £4 a packet, I got loads for next year. and a free cappucino for spending over a fiver.
I've used many Aldi seeds - no problem at all. I took great care to buy my parsnip seeds from a well-known brand (but I can't remember which one) though, and they were awful! About 10% gerninated! Or maybe I didn't treat 'em right.
I have had more success this year planting the cheaper perennials bought in Morrisons and Sainsburys ,than buying from so called garden centers and online garden shops!
I am now converted and will never again be ripped off paying £7 per perennial, but £2 each whilst doing my weekly shop! (and grow them myself from cheap packets of seed.)
having had great success with fruit trees from Lidl( and the lavender plants this year )and everything I've bought from the pound shop, bulbs seeds etc I will certainly think twice before spending megabucks at the garden centres in future.Saver site blog is a great idea. Thanks

Hear hear! Garden centres are the Devil's work. (Nurseries, however, where they know what they're talking about, are a different matter).
Morrisons, 50 assorted dwarf daff bulbs for £3
I've just order bulbs from J Parkers ( http://www.jparkers.co.uk ) and if you enter GWD14 in your "Shopping Trolley" it gives you a 10% discount.
Enjoy
