Is my Lavender dying
Hi
I have a French Lavender plant and its been looking great, but lately since it has flowered it is looking slightly limp. Looking at the plant the centre is looking as though it is dying and black. I did think of cutting it back but not sure what to do.
Does anyone know what I should do.
regards
Chris

It is not as tough as English lavender-you can cut it back- but not into old wood- and at the same time take cuttings- they root dead easy.
That way you will not lose anything
I agree with Geoff, take cuttings. Expect the worse, but hope for the best.lol
Definitely don't cut back into the old wood. First one I had was wonderful then someone told me to cut it back so it wouldn't grow straggly. I cut it back hard and lost it. Been a lot more careful with them since then
Does anybody know what causes cuckoo spit as it keeps appearing on my lavender is there a way of getting rid of it
They're Froghopper nymphs
thanks for the advice, I have taken cuttings of the Lavender so will cut back the lavender. I have English lavender bought at BQ which seems to be the same so will take cuttings of this one also, I think perhaps I should have check the plant before I bought them.
Once again thanks for the replies.

Chris
Quickest way to get rid of it is either by hand or with a blast from the hose.
