Courgette leaves covered in mold / white powdery mildew
in Fruit & veg
Hi All 3 of my courgette plants are covered in white powdery mildew. Please can anyone tell me why this has happened and how I can prevent it in future? Total veg growing novice here

Just make sure they get enough water

Water at the base of the plants in the mornings. Don't get the leaves wet. Cut off any really bad ones. On a warm day you can spray with cooled green tea and that does help a bit. Also make sure there is good circulation of air around the plant by ensuring it has it's own space and if necessary cutting back on its leaves if it has too many!
it is normal though, so you're just trying to manage the problem.
Ive heard of spraying with a milk solution, but its probably not worth it now. I was shown to water by- water as much as you think it needs, then do it again! Basically if the crops are in the ground, you cant water too much, some times i just leave the hose trickling for hours, i think a damn good soak does them good
