I should have pointed out that I have been cutting this lavender back, I haven't just left it for years, although I now know I've been doing it too late, although it doesn't seem to have made a difference. The reason it has gone mad this year is that I fed it.....I've never fed any outdoor plants before and they have all grown beyond belief!!
My 'plug' lavenders that survived are growing really well and will need repotting next week, I have about 4 of each variety left.
Just on the way out, been in the garden , pots, garden and back into a pot ! Going to trip flower stems off, give it a trim but do not cut into deadwood as won't recover. Cogitating on whether to pop it back into soil now it's back to healthiness x
hehe, thats more like a Nick trick, perhaps thats was why mum-in-law preferred Timothy to Nick!!! only jesting. want a Martha though, think Timmy needs a buddy

Hello , I have a lavender bush which I now cut back each year to keep within bounds and it just keeps growing

How good are lavenders at being moved?
Never moved a lavender but why not , give it a bit of TLC and it should be ok , take a cutting or 2 as insurance
moved an out door fuchsia 4 times and it is still going strong , best of luck
Thanks
I have a Fuschia to move too but seen as it's in a pot at the moment it should be ok.

My sister in law bought ours for our first anniversary (I think) so we've had them a while, I was sad when the little boy lost his head
