Small flower ID, please.
Hi, I'm back for another small flower ID now that my new back garden borders are beginning show some flowers.
This one reminds me of baby blue eyes but the colours appear to be wrong and it only has four, as opposed to five petals. The flower stems are branching, originating from a leaf node. The leaves are lanceolate, in pairs. The flower buds are are conical, but long and pointed.
The flower is about 4-5cm in diameter.

Thanks a lot Dimwit, it's most definitely that, the variety Bright Eyes. Also you saved me another post because I've also got the scarlet flax growing. I should've guessed it was some kind of flax from the leaves and distinctive bud shape.
