Poorly pansies

We bought some reject winter pansies yesterday to nurse back to health and then plant out, but realised once we had got them home that the leaves have small black spots on them. Does anyone know if this is a show-stopper or if it is cosmetic only?

http://apps.rhs.org.uk/advicesearch/profile.aspx?pid=571 is about black spots on pansy leaves by the RHS. It sounds as though black spots are due to fungus. Other people have written recently to this forum about poorly pansies. I think it must be due to all the rain this year.
Oh dear - sounds like it's not worth trying with these and I'll put it down to experience! Thank you Busy-Lizzie
