surprise surprise

Ha ha,image I have just baked and shared a delicious Swiss chard lasagna with my nearest and dearest. Only to find a baked earwig in one portion.image

In my haphazard attention to details such as this I see myself becoming more and more like my mother every day.

What is the worst or funniest example of a surprise ingredient that you have cooked or been offered?

Oh if you went to food factories you'd see a whole host of beasties you'd not expect getting groynd into the mixes when they fall in the vats...

(I still happily munch on said foods though!)
