The pink flowers are a geranium that had got entangled.
p.s. the Gnome is next door not mine
Could it be Sweet Autum Clematis, Clematis Terniflora?
They thrive on neglect, apparently
Could be one of the herbaceous (non climbing) ones - possibly Edward Pritchard? http://www.taylorsclematis.co.uk/clematis-edward_pritchard.html
Thanks I will check out suggestions
Bet Dove's right
Bet that gnome's really yours KEF and you just moved it to take the pic....
Fairy you know me so well
How big is the plant?
It looks a bi tlike x jouiana praecox but that's a monster.
Nut it's about 3' high and 6' spread lengthways, depth about 4'. Approx 10 yrs old and clambering over a low mesh boundry fence. Neighbour cuts his side back after it flowers and I cut ours when we can't get to the side of the shed. I don't think it has any inclination to climb or it would be into the Mahonia on the left of it.
I don't think that's big enough
Though it doesn't climb it cover a fair sized piece of ground
