Kamakazi bees

Could anyone tell me why I have a very.larhe bee that has taken to tamming my sitting room window over and over for the last three days. Does this mean I may have a hive somewhere. I have no plants at the side of the house the bee likes. Is this normal behavior?

    Hi NikkiD sometimes i wonder how a bee can find its hive after traveling miles away for the right flowers but cant find its way out of our kitchen with the door and window wide open,they just get angrier and angrier and louder and louder, hitting the glass, i don't know about there actual eyesight it might be poor, how do you know its the same bee bye the way,

    Do you have any flowers or anything flowery inside?

    I can't understand why my bees like a pathetic self set non descript to me image poppy and don't like my show off come and get me courgette flowers at the side of it.

    Hi all, I am not exactly certain its the same bee but the size is very large so I am assumng its the same one. I dont have any flowers only grass out front.

    Sounds like a bumble bee perhaps?  There are lots of different species, some very large.  And "bumble" is a good description - they do tend to crash about.  Some species nest in soil or in tussocky grass, in small colonies only.  They rarely sting, luckily...
