What should I plant

oversixtyoversixty Posts: 1

I have made a trough 7ft long by 1ft wide and 1ft deep I have used it to grow sweet peas in and I mounted a trellis behind it. The trellis is about 5ft high. Can anyone please suggest a climbing plant that I could grow in it that does not deep a deep root structure. My ideal would be a type of rose but I'm not sure about the depth roses root structures need.

There are Clematis specifically bred for containers, that might work, but I would ask a clematis breeder/nursery first before buying. I presume you are now looking for something that is not just an annual?image

Try this link to taylors clematis. they are specialist growers with a huge choice.
