Help with cucumbers
in Plants
My crystal lemon cucumbers are not setting fruit. They are in full sun from late morning and watered daily. There are lots of flowers on the plants and bees to pollinate. What am I doing wrong?

Crystal Lemon is a ridge type cucumber and is one that does need to have both male and female flowers at the same time. (Some cucumbers need to have any male flowers removed in order to prevent the fruit being bitter. Crystal Lemon is not like that. Its flowers need to be pollinated).
It isn't very easy to tell which are male and which female as they are a bit small. But if your plants have both on them you could try hand pollinating with a small watercolour type brush. Or you could spray water mist around the plants. Or you could just wait and hope.
Thank you for that simple help! I will go out with a brush.
