I don't think the white leaves are part of the berry bush. It looks like a weed geum, urbanum probably.
It's hard to tell from the photo but the berry bush looks too close to the wall for good health and with that periwinkle there as well, and whatever is creeping in on the right, there'll be a lot of competition for moisture and nutrients.

It flowers and fruits on the first years canes, and you can cut it to the ground each year. The fruits will ripen in the next month or so.

The problem is, it has mouldy leaves, just cut them off Mich.

Bringing it close up i think its the same plant and if you look on his 'what can I do' post, I an sure its the same, just turned a bit distorted.
Do you think he will come back though and clarify.
