Hosta
I have had an hosta in a pot for about 5 years now and it has always looked spectacular. I have always managed to keep the horrible slugs and snails off it, but this year something seems to be eating it alive! There has been about four leaves dropped off it and chunks eaten out of the leaves. I have checked daily over the last week and have not seen any signs of slugs, or snails the only thing I did see was what looked like a baby caterpiller but have only seen the one.Can anyone please advise me to what might be causing this problem and how I can treat it please Thank you..

It might answer your question
Thankyou sotongeoff. I have squished a few vine weevils lately but never knew they went for Hosta's! Will have to keep a closer eye on them to see if I can find the little buggers.
might be as well in Autumn to take it out, as it's surely pot bound by now anyway, and divide, search the earth carefully, then re pot all the divided ones, it worked for
for me !
good luck
