caterpillar id ?

These little guys are munching through some roses

Any idea what kind of butterfly / moth they will turn into.  Some seem to have yellow heads / bottoms, some have black.  

Apologies for poor photo, phone wouldn't focus v well.

    Could it be a sawfly? I've seen similar pics on here...

    They will still be food for something, i usually pick off the leaves withe the sawfly attached and lay them on the compost heap or put a bit of bread/ birdseed by the affected plant and let the birds sort em out, worked a treat on the gooseberries! image

    Edd, what lavae (thinking buttrrfly - cant spell the other word) is black, spikey and looks abit like it has white dots or flecks, took a pic, but can post image
