Hello Can I please ask if anyone knows if you can make furtilizer from the foxglove plant? My elderly father makes his own furtilizer from comfrey and has now started to try and make some from foxglove. I'm worried as I know that foxglove (Digitalis) is poisonous. I have asked him to stop until I can get more Information I would be very greatful for any information you can let me have. Jacqui

    Foxgloves in the compost bin I would have thought but having said that the foxglove is only poisionous if you eat it-where has this idea come from-I am a bit puzzledimage

    Thank you for your reply, I was just as puzzled as you when he told me. I can only think that because he's had good success with his comfrey furtilizer and he has lots of foxgloves with lots of leaves he would give it a try...... Without knowing what the consequence would be. } image. You would suggest to just compost them.

    Yes-tying to make a liquid feed from a posionous plant -not sure what effect it will have if any on the garden anyway-means it will have to be handled which may not be wise

    Tell him to just stick to comfrey
