can anyone ID this plant please?
in Plants
I collected seed last year and saved in an envvelope marked "yellow campsis type flower". This year I seem to have excellent germination but what is it? Some are in my planters in England, but the end of the seed tray has been planted here in the Languedoc and it looks as though it may want to climb a bit?
oh dear - not sure why they have gone sideways - but perhaps you can se enough?
any help welcome

Any good?
Thanks Dove
Thats kind of what I was expecting, but campsis tends to have leaves rather like rowan and I'm not sure what these will do as it gets bigger. On the new leaves there is a distinctive purply look as the stem moves into the base of the leaf. It also has a bit of a smell to it, but I can't place it.
It looks like Nicotiana glauca

Thanks Nut - it really does look like that.
I'll have to have a look and see how to grow it now!
Not very hardy, I did get one plant through a winter. once.
I think it's a big plant in its own habitat
