Yellow lawn
Hello, I'm currently renting a propery which I move out of in about one months time. I gave two dogs and due to them peeing on the lawn, plus hot weather and the lack of rain we've had, parts of the lawn is yellow. My question is, what is the best way of making it green again in time for our leaving inspection? Is it simply a case of using a lawn feed and keeping the dogs off? Thanks in advance!

This stuff is advertised in the July edition of Gardener's World magazine http://www.greengardener.co.uk/product.asp?id_pc=13&cat=25&id_product=501
I have no idea whether it does what it says ...............
Good luck

The urine has killed the grass,it's like using glyphosate, reseeding or patching with turf is the answer,if your dogs keep peeing on the lawn you should follow them with a watering can and dilute it.
For future reference, re dog urine on lawns; some give the dog tomato ketchup / juice in their meal to counter the effect of the high nitrogen and other wastes in the urine, Dog Rocks in the water of your dog may also help.
However it looks like you have to repair the current lawn somewhat.
You could always try the Brazilian World Cup approach and just paint the grass green
For a leaving inspection SG's suggestion sounds spot on

I think the stuff that I linked to is actually some sort of dye that the grass will absorb ..............
