Hello I found this pic on chiltern seed's facebook. I'm waiting for a response from them but just wondered in the meantime if anyone on here knows what plant these flowers belong to?

I'm trying to attract lots of bumblebees for next year and this one seems to be popular looking at the pics.

    Looks like an artichoke or cardoon, but they dont usually hang like that, either which way, any thistle type thing will be very popular with the bees image

    Its quite funny to watch, as all you can see of the bees is their bottoms wiggling, the rest of the bee is buried in the flower image

    that's the trouble with close ups, Can you post a photo of the whole plant?

    The one most often grown is the variegated one aka Milk Thistle. Biennial sadly.
