Lovely article in the Daily Telegraphy by Sandra Lawrence entitled:  "Warley Place Garden: Edwardian ghosts in a lost paradise".

I used to have some 'Miss Willmott' plants and never pursued learning who Miss Willmott was.

Fascinating read.

Has anyone ever visited Warley Place?

I haven't visited but I've been aware of  the story of Miss Wilmott's Ghost.

The place where I last worked had 'Fox' in it's name and when I retired last autumn I scattered foxglove seeds around the gardens before I left - hopefully next summer people will wonder where the foxgloves came from image

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
