Hi,

My beautiful pink poppies have been battered by the wind and rain and are now looking very sorry for themselves....can I do the 'Chelsea chop' on them.....if thats what its called (as you can see I'm a newbie!) and if so, how far down do I chop and will they reflower this year???

Don't go mad just remove any broken stems and damaged leaves etc-the "chelsea chop" does not really apply to poppies more the herbaceous perennial plants-with a bit of luck, depending on the variety, it will flower again this year.

Thank you sotongeoff! such a shame...they were looking sooo gorgeous and I was sooo proud of them, maybe 'with a bit of luck' they will bloom again!image
