bird nest in potato bag

I have just seen this in a potato grow bag

 I added about 4" of compost 8 days ago; went to water it just now and this is what I foundimage

    Sadly there is no bird sitting on the eggs; don't know enough about this to figure out if nest is abandoned.

    Potato omeletteimage  Soz' only kidding will be brill to see what they turn into if they hatch image maybe first time parents as a bit of a strange place to nest.

    I would leave well alone Artjak - the bird may come back - the weather's been quite warm so they shouldn't have got too chilled.  How long since you noticed them?

    Meant to say - they look like robin's eggs and the nest-style fits with a robin.

    Dove, I most certainly will leave well alone; spotted the nest about 5 mins before I posted.image What amazes me is how fast the nest was built and filled.

    There is a very imperious Robin who comes quite close to the house and peers through the windows.
