blue' cypress !

Hi all. its described as above ( cupressus arizonica glauca ) 8 years old, has great clipped round shape, survived the 2 harsh Winters, but this year most of it has ided off, brown and brittle, I've tried feeding it, but to no avail - would be grateful for any ideas ?
