hi all

I have some surfinias and begonia million kisses and I would like to know how many to plant in 14inch baskets.

I just cram in as many as possible and always use water retaining gel to help them from drying out . The more the merrier ! I also give them a very weak feed with every watering as I 've got so many pots , baskets and indoor houseplants it all seems to get out of hand ! Make sure the feed is really week though as too much can be worse than not enough if you do as I do.

  • i`ve got the easy fill baskets, I know it sounds obvious but do I just fill every opening and the top ?

Yes potteries phil, thats right. Once filled, if possible, do stand the basket on a steady surface for a week or two. This will allow the roots to anchor themselves into the fresh compost, before you hang it up.

Me too.   I cram in as many plants as possible, water every day, feed once a week.    I have four of them and one is in a position that gets a little sun and another gets no sun whatsoever.    I solved this problem by moving all my baskets around once per week.   This is easy, as it is when I take them down to feed them and to deadhead them.

  • thanks all

I`ll get in my greenhouse and start potting
