Red dahlia turned yellow

Marked my tubers last year and potted and labelled. They have grown back but now are starting to bud and the flowers appear like they are going to be yellow not red. How can this happen. Def not a labelling error as the foliage is diff to my others. i have 6, some seem to be red but at least 3 are yellow!!!!

Damn it can't find anything to rhyme with. No they are def yellow not red!! The variety was red flame!
Maybe they will turn out like these! (Not mine by the way).

Firstly I bow my head and apologise for this thread! It would seem that some tomfoolery has been afoot and the joke is on me! My sister thought it would be hilarious to swap my yellow tags for my red as I had 6 of each. My reds are yellow and my yellows are red!!! Unfortunately my red tubs are now yellow and 3 of my red dahlias have been sold thinking they were yellows!! (Sad)
Apparently she was waging war against my neatness and my neatly labelled pots and thought I would find it funny. Instead due to the volume of dahlias this year I out some out to sell to make compost money
moral of the story, no one is allowed in my garden unsupervised!!!

Sad news about you selling the Dahlias, but on the whole is pretty a pretty funny story!
were I volunteer, we were sorting out dahlias (about 500 of them!) and the couple who owns the estate (the lady especially) are really pernickety, so I merged two trays of dahlias into one, just to add a bit of informality! I expect theyve been put into their final positions now, Hope they like it when they come out, right at the front of their house!
