These seedlings are everywhere in my front garden

This photo shows how it's growing in one area

This pretty little thing didn't die off during the winter it's leaves just turned a bronzey colour then early spring the leaves turned green and it produced these small, pretty blue flowers. There aren't many flowers left now but there were masses of them a few weeks ago

Your first two pictures look as if the plant is a violet.    Your third plant has me foxed, I am afraid.    Are you sure this is the same plant?

Violets spread easily.    I have been battling with them the last two years, and am now getting close to having got rid of them.    You just need to put some hard work into continually taking them out before they smother everything.

The third looks like Speedwell (Veronica)

The first and second picture looks like Lesser Celandine - by clicking on your photo, it enlarges the image dramatically.

Have you noticed any tuberous roots when you pull a clump up, by any chance ? And does it have a yellow flower ?

Last pic - looks like speedwell to me, also.

The first pics are violets. I know because I have to weed mine out or they will take over the entire border. There will always be a few that survive and seed again after blooming. Very sweet little things and a lovely perfume of course but can be rather invasive.

    Thank you all.

So I have violets? Hmmmm well I wonder where they cam from because I've never had them before now....birds maybe? When it stops raining long enough for me to get out there I'll dig them up before they take over the whole garden. the 3rd picture isn't the same plant as picture 1 & 2 it's a plant I aquired and had no idea what it was.

Violets are pretty flowers but spread and take over.     If your third picture is a speedwell, take care, this can do the same!
