     it is edible. Chenopodium giganteum, tree spinach.

    I haven't eaten it.

    Mexican Tree Spinach - It is edible but a bit of an acquired taste (I don't like it). If you let it flower you will have it for ever.

    I have it forever but never quite as much as I'd like now.
