Garden centres sell little ready baited boxes; I leave one or two in my potting shed after having similar problems; seems to do the trick.
thank you i will try that
Maybe your lack of success with traps is due to where you placed them. Mice don't usually run across open spaces but tend to keep to the edges - so I'd suggest you put the traps down on the ground where the side of the shed meets the floor. I've found that milk chocolate seems to work as a bait, rather than the more conventional idea of using cheese!
Thank you
i will think about that one
Yes, try a little chocolate on the traps but it will probably be more effective to use a little slice of Mars bar or Milky Way etc so that the soft centre can be squashed onto the trip flap. Otherwise. mice can deftly lift a piece of bait right off the trap. Also, they eat more confidently with some overhead cover, so construct a little card 'tunnel' (say from a cornflakes box) about 3" high to place over the trap. I've had mice issues in my veg bed before and killed up to a dozen with two traps over the space of a week until the problem ended.
Thank you i will try that to
