Virginia Creeper Pot

Percy-GrowerPercy-Grower Posts: 253

Hi guy's,

Looking to grow Virginia Creeper up the front wall of the house, i don't want the whole wall covered, just a few feet either side of the door, problem is there is no way it can go into the ground due to a path, is there any way i can grow this in a large pot? and if so what size pot are we talking about? also would pruning, cutting and shaping this plant to keep it in bounds be relatively straightforward?

Thanks in advance

Previous owner planted Virginia Creeper on my house, it gets everywhere, in the flower beds, in the veggie garden, even in the forest next door. I think I hate it now.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
