This fantastic pink flowering plant was growing on lots of walls when I visited the west coast of Scotland last week. Fantastic contrast with the wall and ferns. Does anyone know what it is, never seen it before.

Thanks!

Thanks fairygirl, I just think it's lovely. Will try to track down something similar and have a go at seeding in my walls.

They're quite easy to find Cardoon - most GCs and nurseries will have them at this time  of year and you can make a display quite easily in a container too. There are lots of nurseries which specialise as well.. We had tons of those ferns in the terrace walls at my last house. They loved the conditions. image
