what to plant in a vertical cast iron gutter downpipe feature

hi just made a feature out of old cast iron gutter  downpipe 5" dia 6ft high with 1ft hopper on top , any advice on the best plant to put in this , was going to fill with soil or compost ,is openended which can be screened or capped
